Reflekt is designed as a local-first journaling app. The core idea is simple: your memories should stay yours, and the app should work primarily with data stored on your own device.

What Reflekt stores on-device

According to the current app architecture, user journal data is stored locally on the user's device.

  • Journal metadata is stored in the app's local database on the device.
  • Photos, videos, map previews, and related media are stored in local files on the device.
  • The website does not provide checkout for subscriptions and is not the place where journal media is created or stored.

Permissions used by the app

Depending on which features the user chooses to enable, the iOS app may request access to device capabilities such as:

  • Notifications for reminders and routines.
  • Location for location-based memories and place insights.
  • Microphone for voice entries or audio recording.
  • Photos or media access when the user adds existing media to journal days or highlights.

These permissions are used to provide the requested feature inside the app.

Highlights and existing media

Reflekt Highlights are built from media the user has already added in the app. A user can create unlimited highlights, give each highlight a custom name, and include multiple pages within a single highlight. This content remains part of the user's local app experience unless the user explicitly exports or shares it.

Website usage

This website is intended to describe Reflekt and its features. It does not sell subscriptions directly. If premium access is offered, purchase flow is handled inside the iOS application on the user's device.

If this website is hosted publicly, normal hosting or server providers may still process technical request data such as IP address, browser details, and access logs. Those hosting-level details should be reviewed separately before launch.
